Lets Break Down PerformancePoint Server 2007 Monitoring "Concerto"

Ok, lets start having some fun…. [:D]

I’m going to post many entries over the next several weeks breaking down the new elements of project “Concerto” which is going to be known as PerformancePoint Server 2007 Monitoring.   As you already are probably aware of, Business Scorecard Manager is changing its name, going to be integrated into a bigger business intelligence product set and the User Interface is completely changing.

As you can see from the above screen, Concerto is sporting a completely new user interface.  Is this good or bad?  I believe it is a winner.  There were a lot of clicks that didn’t make sense in Business Scorecard Manager.   There is a lot to explore in Concerto and worth the time invested in reviewing and providing feedback to the product team.  The next posting I will be doing is breaking down the Ribbonbar and its functionality.  I am utilizing CTP1 which was release in November.   Features and user interface is subject to change in CTP2 which is due in a couple of months.

Anyway, enjoy the posts and let me hear your comments.

Happy Scorecarding
